NORA P GALLERY - ROME

The unprecedented collaboration between the Rome based boutique Nora P and Francesco Pellisari created THE SOUND SLATE, an acoustic three-dimensional visual sculpture. Suspended inside the store was a composition containing five handmade porcelain speakers balanced by an acoustic panel decorated with original art.  This visually stunning assembly reveals a new dimension when the clear liquid voice of Sainkho Namtchylak emanates from within it. Because the source of the sound is not clearly identified, the listener enjoys the transformation of the space into a full natural ‘resounding’ experience.
Technique, form, material and appearance are the four basic components of this project but it is the advanced technology and the transmission line omnidirectional acoustic reflex speakers that produce the exquisite sound.
The technical characteristics of the surface of the acoustic panel when combined with the exclusive artwork complete this unique audio-visual design event.
