Zemi Aria was born from a special story: a collaboration with Apple, the visionary support of Jay and Shawn Sugarman, my friend Ron Arad and my deep love for sound.
Today, the project is reborn entirely in Italy, thanks to the collaboration with Guido Borso of ACCLINE and Paolo Andriolo of PATHOS.
More than seven years after its original conception, Zemi Aria remains one of the most surprising and refined loudspeakers in its category. It is an object designed with almost obsessive care, where every formal, technical and material choice responds to a precise acoustic purpose.
The body is made of marble-filled ABS: a solution that reduces unwanted resonances, improves low-frequency response and eliminates the typical “plastic” sound often found in compact loudspeakers.
Zemi Aria integrates an optical input with an internal DAC, ensuring high-quality digital-to-analogue conversion, together with Cambridge Silicon Radio Bluetooth and AirPlay, allowing it to be used also in a multispeaker configuration.
The front grille also has an acoustic function. Its rear support works as a waveguide, contributing to the generation of non-coherent waves and to the spatial diffusion of sound. The holes in the grille are distributed according to the Fibonacci sequence, improving the dispersion of high frequencies and fantastic hestetic from Ron.
The sound quality of Zemi Aria has been recognised by the prestigious magazine Hi-Fi Choice and appreciated by the great orchestra conductor Ruggero Raimondi. The project also received a wonderful comment from Hugh Jackman.
Zemi Aria will soon be available with a dedicated vinyl input, a proprietary app and a new suspended version.
